Description
lifeCYCLE Magazine Issue 22
We love gravel biking! And of course, this dirty way of cycling is a big topic in our autumn issue. However, we always dare to think outside the box – especially with regard to topics such as transport policy and the transport transition. And this is where we often come up against a problem: of course it would be great if we had a perfect cycle path network here and now. But we don’t. We need to talk about this. But we all know that: The mills of bureaucracy sometimes grind very slowly in Germany. Talking about it is good – but what happens in the meantime? If the bicycle is left standing until good paths have been built, that would be fatal in our eyes. This is precisely why we at lifeCYCLE Magazine have launched a safety workshop for older people and untrained cyclists – true to the motto: talk is silver, riding is golden. We also travelled to Utrecht and its remarkable suburb of Houten to find out what a sustainable transport policy could be based on. For this issue, we took the gravel bike through the Münsterland and the Odenwald, among other places. And we found some really hot gravel bikes at the Gravel Games! Please note (important!): The lifeCYCLE Magazine is written in German! There is no English translation in the print magazine!
